Hello Omar, where are you located and how did it all start?
I am an artist working in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. Born into a family of artists and surrounded by painters, poets, writers and sculptors, I started in art at an early age. Later and determined to be a Painter, I began to travel the paradisaical routes of the Fine Arts in which I remain today more than ever.
What medium do you prefer to work with?
My discipline is oil painting on canvas. It is reasoned and abstract painting; taking care of and exploring the qualities of colour.
How would you describe your style?
In 2001 an art critic wrote in the Ages magazine from Rome that my style is called Neo Futurism. The truth is, that I take cubism and Italian futurism to the limits, reaching the hard edge in a pure abstraction of forms and colours on certain occasions. From cubism I have the defragmentation of reality, but without the multiplicity of points of view. And from Futurism, i cherish the beauty of the diagonals providing dynamism, but using it more subtle than the italian masters did.
What is your main goal as an artist?
In 1999 I won the first prize at the Accademia Internazionale D´Arte Moderna in Rome. There, a journalist told me that my paintings force the observer to reason, to search beyond the superficial. This, I think, is still my great goal, my great success in the way I interpret an idea and leave it embodied for someone else to find it.
My principle in Art as in Life is “Live honestly, do not harm others, and give everyone what is due.” Being honest, working seriously and self-criticism is my strength.

I am an Argentine Neo Futurist artist. I push the cubism and the Italian futurism styles to the limits, and on certain occasions I make an extreme abstraction of reality until I reach the hard edge of forms and colours. My discipline is the oil painting on canvas. It is a reasoned and abstract painting, taking care of and exploring the qualities of colours.
Thank you very much, Omar.
