Chesco – Colorful hard edge art and contstructivism
Hello Chesco, please tell us who you are
I’m an engineer who loves contemporary art and have build a decent collection of artwork over my 30+ years of professional career. At a certain point, I realized that the skills I developed during my teenage years can help me to create and put on a canvas all the ideas I had in my mind, and perform my own interpretation of the work of famous artists I admire.
What art do you find fascinating?
I’m passionate about color and geometric shapes. I love playing with angles, different shades of colors, and lines. I’m a perfectionist and love the fact that lines concur to a point and create a visual effect that makes things look like they are moving.
Favorite style
Light, intense color, shapes that float and mix, constructivism style.
What are your personal goals as an artist?
My goal is that my artwork reaches as many people as possible and that future collectors can buy any of my paintings that will bring joy, light and lots of color to their homes.
Your advice for us?
Just do what you love, never stop sketching and let your ideas become something tangible. Never stop creating!
What more would you like say?
For my creative process, I started looking at the work of art as something basic and simple to complement the space. When it is getting finished, I see that the canvas has embraced the color and it has become the main attraction. I see how shapes flow, how they hide among the shadows, and play with the depth of the space. Suddenly, I find myself submerged or perhaps floating within art itself, and I’m no longer in the same plane of existence.
