Hey Gaélian, who are you?
Hi! I am 2 years old, French, and living in Paris. Being a young graphic designer and visual “artist” at heart, I have always felt the need to create. So I studied graphic design, but my art is a passion that helps me channel my imagination without external constraints. I’m currently developing a cosmic, abstract style of art, inspired by optical art.
What do you do?
I’ve been drawing and sketching since I was 10. Presently, I want to reveal my style and hoping that it could bring out some visual pleasure, dreaming and imagination to people.
Cornerstones of your artistic style
I like the idea of creating rules as a preliminary protocol and experiment as far as possible afterwards. So I decided to start with a black background, and add some very colorful and abstract circle-like shapes. Patterns, bright colors, psychedelic styles and high contrasts attract me. My artwork’s titles are inspired by astronomical or cosmic lexical fields. Since I love Space and Sci-Fi a lot, by creating such styles, I’m getting my imagination into infinite odysseys. The black background is like the empty space, which highlights colorful celestial objects. Through my art, I hope to make people have a fantastic journey through time and space.
What are you striving for, artistically?
My goal is to build a reputation by showcasing my work in a gallery and related platforms. I also want to meet other artists, gallery owners and art curators.
A theory that I have is this: Art is there inside each one of us, you need to find in your inner self what you want to create for this world. It can be music, photography, comedic sketch, or even making wooden furniture in a garage. I am convinced that expressing emotions through art can bring out happiness and satisfaction by transforming an idea into a real and tangible object.
