Please introduce yourself, Robert
I am a Chicago-based artist and have been in a number of national and international exhibitions.
What do you do?
I have been creating artwork since the third grade. I like to paint with acrylic on canvas or make wood sculptures out of different shapes and materials.
How do you describe your style?
I tend to use bright colors, unusual shapes, and different textures in a geometric setting to create energy and motion.
What do you want to evoke in the viewer?
My goal is for the viewers of my work to feel some of the same joy I had while making the artwork. A lot of people who look at my work say that it makes them happy.
I was always fascinated with geometry. I like to explore the Yin-Yang relationship between structure and empty space which makes up all material objects.
Make art not war.
